Becki Hiebert

Becki Hiebert grew up on a small farm in southeastern Manitoba and is the oldest of 5 kids. She left home at 18 to start University in Winnipeg and graduated with a BSc in Chemistry in 2011. That same year, she moved to Edmonton for her first "adult job", doing bench chemistry research for a pharmaceutical company. She stayed there for 7 years, moving on from research to quality control (testing the drugs they made) to quality assurance (making sure the drugs were tested correctly). Becki left that company for a medical device startup, where she got to manage people and projects for the very first time. During this time she also started and finished her MBA in the part-time program at the University of Alberta. In 2021 she joined a different medical device company and moved to Calgary. She now works for herself as a quality assurance/quality management system consultant for pharma and medical device companies.
