Dr. Harold Bull

Microbiology and Genetics

Dr. Harold Bull is an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan in the College of Medicine, working in the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology. His areas of expertise fall into molecular genetics and microbial physiology. Prior to Dr. Bull’s academic position at the University, he grew up in west central Saskatchewan on a mixed farm, where he attended a very small school with only four graduates in his year. Dr. Bull had attended the University of Saskatchewan and eventually decided on microbiology as a major. After his B. Sc. degree, he entered a graduate program and earned a Ph.D. degree (also from the U. of S.). Following his Ph.D. he did two years of post-doctoral work in the department of Biochemistry at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, then moved to Houston Texas for an additional three years at Baylor College of Medicine in the department of Molecular and Human Genetics.
